This 26-acre urban infill project in Denver's Hale neighborhood had been vacant since the University Medical Center moved to the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. Developed by Continuum Partners and CIM Group, Saunders performed the demolition and infrastructure work to enable development.
The scope of work for this 100-acre center involved extensive site development and placement of the infrastructure. Retailer buildings include Colorado’s first Super Target, Petsmart, Michaels, Office Max, TJ Maxx and 2 retail strip buildings.
Initial work on the project included the demolition of the existing mall and all existing paving, curb and gutter, landscaping and some underground utilities.
The Arista Parkade is a 505,425-square-foot, five-level parking garage that can accommodate 1,500 cars and was built concurrently with the Broomfield Event Center.
This parking structure was constructed adjacent to support the new office buildings. This four-level, 198,605-square-foot structure has 674 spaces.
Saunders' third project for Sheridan School District, the new grades 3-5 and 6-8 facility and the renovation of the existing middle school west wing to accommodate Early Childhood Learning was made possible by funding through the Colorado Department of Education, Building Excellent Schools Today (CDE, BEST) program.
