Saunders Express was formed in 2004 with a focus on healthcare facilities, tenant improvements, renovations, and new construction projects averaging $10 million in size. There is a market need for a qualified, capable, and trustworthy contractor — no matter the project size. These projects are typically quick and hard-hitting. Everything must be pre-planned and buttoned up long before construction starts. Saunders Express prioritizes projects like these, which are critical to our clients, but often overlooked by our competitors.

In 2014, Saunders Construction acquired Fort Collins-based Heath Construction, LLC. This merger created a new construction and facilities maintenance provider in the northern Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska markets. Recent projects include the Stanley Hotel Pavilion and Aspire Residences, Colorado State University Nancy Richardson Design Center, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, and Phelps Memorial Health Center, to name a few. Saunders North’s determination to deliver exceptional, cost-effective services on every project has led to long-standing relationships with local businesses throughout this region.

In 2021, Saunders Construction and Norwood Development Group joined forces to create a construction company focused solely on the Pikes Peak Region. This long-term partnership creates a pioneering approach to serve this region’s distinct needs. Saunders Norwood strategically aligns both partners by combining Saunders’ diverse, high-quality construction expertise with Norwood’s high-caliber, community-forward focus and developments.

Saunders Norwood is uniquely positioned to offer the Pikes Peak Region the best of two worlds: critical access to high-quality construction expertise coupled with a deep understanding of the region’s local needs.

Saunders Concrete is the Rocky Mountain region’s top self-performing concrete contractor, delivering high-quality products, both at a competitive cost and expeditious schedule. Saunders’ concrete operations team of over 200+ employees delivers award-winning cast-in-place, place and finish, architectural, and tilt-up concrete projects. Beyond supporting our own projects, the concrete team contracts with several other general contractors in the region.
