Scott Mikulak

Scott Mikulak serves as Director of Preconstruction for Saunders Construction, bringing more than 30 years of experience in preconstruction and construction management across healthcare, commercial, and education projects. In his role as director of preconstruction, Mikulak leads Saunders’ preconstruction department and oversees preconstruction operations across the Saunders North and Saunders Express business units, providing strategic direction, team development and regional market expertise.

Mikulak oversees and leads design-phase planning efforts, helping clients align project scope, budget, schedule, and objectives while supporting informed decision-making throughout the preconstruction process. He works closely with owners, design teams, and trade partners to identify value-added solutions that enhance project outcomes and set up projects for success. His expertise in estimating, constructability review, cost analysis, procurement strategy, and market conditions helps clients maximize value and mitigate risk. With extensive relationships throughout the Rocky Mountain Region, he has played a key role in delivering many of Saunders’ most complex projects and continues to provide strategic guidance that supports successful project execution.
