As chairman of the board of directors for Saunders Construction, Greg Schmidt provides strategic leadership and guidance to support the company’s purpose and long-term vision.
Schmidt joined Saunders in 1994 as an estimator. Over the years, he has held several positions in operations, preconstruction, business development, and executive leadership roles. From 2015 to 2026, Schmidt served as CEO of Saunders Construction, leading strategic growth initiatives, a refreshed brand identity, and the development of the company’s headquarters in Englewood, Colo.
Throughout his tenure, he has been instrumental in shaping the company’s culture, strengthening client relationships, and driving long-term business success. As chairman, he continues to focus on governance, innovation, and creating sustainable value for employees, clients and industry partners. Schmidt also oversees Saunders Commercial Development as an extension of Saunders’ construction operations.
