Saunders completed the new Regional Transit Center for the Town of Winter Park and transit operator The Lift, creating a centralized facility to support transit operations, fleet maintenance, and long-term service reliability throughout the region.
Located on a 12-acre site in Grand County, the 60,000-square-foot facility serves as the operations and maintenance hub for The Lift’s 27-vehicle fleet. The center includes indoor bus parking, five maintenance bays, electric vehicle charging stations, and dedicated administration and dispatch spaces. Designed to protect vehicles during harsh winter conditions, the facility also enhances safety and efficiency for operators, maintenance personnel, and riders.
Replacing an outdated facility, the new transit center strengthens the region’s transportation infrastructure and supports the growing needs of both the local workforce and year-round tourism economy.
