Saunders completed the new regional transit center for the Town of Winter Park and transit operator The Lift.
The new regional transit center provides a center for operations and maintenance of The Lift’s 27-vehicle fleet, providing protection for buses in winter months, and ensuring safety for operators, maintenance workers and riders.
The 60,000-square-foot building is constructed on a 12-acre site in Grand County and includes indoor bus parking, five maintenance bays, electric charging stations, and dedicated administration and dispatch spaces. The new transit center replaced an outdated facility and provides enhanced reliability in transit services to better serve the area’s growing tourism and workforce needs.
