Read More →The Sidney Regional Medical Center is a two-story, 130,000-square-foot hospital developed to expand access to high-quality healthcare services in western Nebraska. Designed to serve the needs of a growing rural population, the facility provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, and specialty care services under one roof.
The hospital includes 25 private patient rooms, two labor and delivery rooms, a surgical suite with three operating rooms and two procedure rooms, an emergency department, outpatient clinics, a physician’s clinic, radiology, laboratory services, pharmacy, and rehabilitation and cardiopulmonary departments. Additional amenities include administrative offices, a kitchen and cafeteria, nearly 200 parking spaces, and a central energy plant that supports the facility’s operations.
Recognizing the challenges associated with constructing a major healthcare facility in a rural location, the project team implemented an extensive outreach effort prior to construction. Through engagement with local trade organizations, community events, regional subcontractors, and Nebraska-based contractors, the team successfully generated strong subcontractor participation and ensured adequate workforce coverage throughout construction.
Designed in the spirit of LEED principles, the medical center balances operational efficiency, patient comfort, and long-term durability. The result is a modern healthcare destination that delivers critical medical services to the region while supporting the community’s needs for generations to come.
