Read More →The Good Samaritan Comprehensive Cancer Center is a four-story, state-of-the-art healthcare facility located on the Good Samaritan Medical Center campus. Developed to expand access to advanced oncology services, the center brings a wide range of cancer treatment and support functions together within a single patient-focused environment.
The facility features specialized treatment and diagnostic spaces, including two linear accelerator vaults, a lead-lined PET-CT room, a brachytherapy treatment vault, physics laboratories, patient exam rooms, infusion bays, and clinical office space. These highly technical environments were designed to support the latest cancer treatment technologies while providing a comfortable experience for patients and caregivers.
Successful delivery of the project relied on close collaboration among the owner, architect, tenants, and construction team throughout design and construction. During preconstruction, the team conducted extensive value engineering analyses and constructability reviews utilizing a coordinated 3D model to optimize building systems, control costs, and support project goals.
To maintain uninterrupted patient care and meet operational deadlines, the project was delivered on an aggressive fast-track schedule. Working seven days a week, the team achieved certificate of occupancy one day ahead of schedule, allowing staff to move in and prepare for patients without disruption. The result is a leading-edge cancer treatment facility that enhances access to specialized care while supporting the evolving needs of the healthcare community.
