Eaton School District Transportation Complex

The Eaton School District Transportation Complex was developed to provide the district with a centralized facility for transportation operations, fleet maintenance, and equipment storage. Designed to improve efficiency and support the long-term needs of the district, the new campus serves as a critical hub for maintaining the vehicles and infrastructure that help transport students safely each day.

Constructed on a six-acre site, the complex includes two pre-engineered metal buildings and a steel bus canopy, creating a purpose-built environment for transportation and maintenance operations. Each of the primary buildings encompasses approximately 10,000 square feet and was designed to accommodate the district’s current needs while allowing flexibility for future growth.

The first building serves as the primary maintenance and administration facility. It includes three maintenance bays and a dedicated wash bay that support routine vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs. Administrative offices, a training room, and a break room provide space for operational management, employee development, and staff support functions, creating an efficient and comfortable workplace for district personnel.

The second building expands the district’s maintenance capabilities with three additional service bays and a 4,500-square-foot warehouse. This space provides secure storage for parts, equipment, supplies, and operational resources, helping streamline maintenance activities and improve inventory management.

Together, the facilities create a comprehensive transportation and maintenance campus that enhances fleet reliability, improves operational efficiency, and supports the district’s commitment to student safety. The organized layout and specialized infrastructure provide transportation staff with the tools and workspace necessary to effectively maintain the vehicles and equipment that serve the district’s students and community.
