The one-story facility features a precast concrete structure engineered to withstand F1 tornado forces and missile impacts, ensuring long-term operational reliability. At the heart of the building is a 3,300-square-foot data hall equipped with hot-aisle containment, 85 tons of cooling capacity, 400 kW of UPS battery backup, and a 665 kW emergency generator system. Supporting mechanical halls utilize floor-mounted CRAC units integrated with the rack and cooling design and were constructed with capacity for future expansion as operational demands increase.
The facility also includes a dedicated generator yard housing air-cooled condensing units, generators, and fuel fill stations, as well as an administrative area with office workstations and conference rooms. Enhanced security measures include a secured vestibule and card-reader/keypad access system to control entry and protect critical infrastructure.
Saunders’ self-perform concrete team completed all foundations and structural concrete walls for the facility, delivering the work in less than three months and helping maintain an accelerated project schedule.
