Read More →Saunders completed the 285,000-square-foot headquarters transformation for VF Corporation, converting the 10-story 1551 Wewatta building in downtown Denver into a dynamic global workplace for one of the world’s largest apparel and footwear companies.
Selected by VF Corporation as the home for its global headquarters, the project involved a complete interior renovation and exterior building upgrades designed to support a culture of innovation, teamwork, and diversity. Construction included full demolition of existing interior spaces, partial demolition of the second-level mezzanine to accommodate a new monumental staircase, and comprehensive tenant improvements throughout the building.
Originally constructed by Saunders in the early 2000s, the reimagined facility now features a wide range of employee-focused amenities, including a two-story climbing wall, bouldering wall, altitude testing rooms, product material libraries, lounges, café and kitchen spaces, creative collaboration areas, and advanced conference technology. Extensive artwork, natural materials, and biophilic design elements bring the outdoors inside, creating a workplace environment inspired by the landscapes that shape many of VF’s brands.
The completed headquarters reflects VF Corporation’s commitment to sustainability, wellness, and fostering a workplace that supports both creativity and work-life balance.
