The facility combines museum-quality gallery spaces with entertainment, event, and educational amenities, creating a unique destination for visitors of all ages.
The building includes 31,000 square feet of exhibit galleries, a 315-seat IWERKS Extreme Screen Theater, a café, retail space, office areas, and banquet facilities capable of accommodating events ranging from 400 to 900 guests. These diverse program elements allow the facility to serve as both a public attraction and a community gathering place.
At the heart of the museum is an extensive collection of wildlife art, featuring original oil paintings, watercolors, sculptures, and photography that celebrate the beauty and diversity of the natural world. The collection is complemented by exhibits and educational programming that further the institution’s mission of connecting people with wildlife and conservation.
The facility’s award-winning architecture reinforces this mission through the use of natural materials and distinctive design elements, including copper roof and wall panels, sandstone veneer masonry, colored and etched precast concrete panels, and a translucent glazed curtain wall system. Together, these features create an iconic architectural presence while providing a welcoming and memorable visitor experience.
