For nearly five decades, Overland’s swimming and diving teams relied on an off-site municipal pool for practices and competitions. The new 35,000-square-foot aquatics center eliminates travel and scheduling challenges while creating a permanent home for student-athletes, physical education programs and future community activities.
The state-of-the-art natatorium features an eight-lane, 25-yard competition pool, diving well with springboards, bulkhead divider system, locker rooms, team room, two classrooms, pool mechanical spaces and spectator seating for more than 300 guests. Designed to support competitive swimming, diving and instructional programming, the facility provides students with access to modern athletic infrastructure that enhances training, competition and academic opportunities.
As part of the broader campus improvements, Saunders also upgraded Overland High School’s track and field practice facilities, including a resurfaced track and new triple jump and long jump runways. Together, these investments strengthen the school’s athletic offerings and provide lasting value for students, staff and the surrounding Aurora community.
