Colorado State University Walter Scott Jr. College of Engineering
This project had one simple goal — to create a better world for future generations through education, innovation and infrastructure that reflects the future of
engineering....
The work included full demolition of existing lab, studio, classroom, and office space. New interior systems included HVAC, electrical, fire suppression, and plumbing throughout the facility. Also included in the major renovation was modifying an existing storage area into seven new acoustically independent rooms for recording high quality symphonic pieces without reverberation effects of typical construction, removal and replacement of an existing freight elevator with an ADA compliant passenger elevator, and new exterior glazing units were installed in the café and kitchen to allow students and staff to enjoy the view of the mountains while on break from their classes.
