Read More →Completed in 2004, the Lone Tree Recreation Center is a 54,300-square-foot community facility designed to serve the diverse recreational and wellness needs of residents within the South Suburban Recreation District. Conveniently located near Lincoln Avenue and Interstate 25, the center provides a wide range of fitness, aquatic, and community gathering spaces for users of all ages.
The facility features a full-size gymnasium, leisure pool, lap pool, water slide, racquetball courts, aerobics room, multipurpose activity spaces, and a performance stage. A 5,300-square-foot mezzanine level serves primarily as an indoor running track, providing year-round opportunities for exercise and recreation.
Structurally, the building combines a steel frame system with load-bearing structural masonry surrounding the gymnasium, creating a durable and efficient facility. The exterior incorporates a blend of masonry, exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS), storefront glazing, and curtain wall systems that contribute to both the building’s performance and visual appeal.
By combining aquatic amenities, fitness facilities, and flexible community spaces, the Lone Tree Recreation Center continues to serve as a valuable recreational asset that supports healthy lifestyles and community connection.
