Colorado State University Walter Scott Jr. College of Engineering
This project had one simple goal — to create a better world for future generations through education, innovation and infrastructure that reflects the future of
engineering....
The scope included improvements to two existing ranges along with the addition of one new range. Work required the installation of more than seventy-five caissons to support new bullet backstops and covered canopy structures. Because of the sloped terrain, cut-and-fill operations had to be carefully sequenced to allow for caisson installation. Key components of the project included the precise sequencing of caisson work as well as the construction of the range berms.
