Colorado Department of Transportation – Brush Vehicle Storage Facility
Delivering a cost-effective maintenance facility through early collaboration and strategic preconstruction planning....
Read More →Saunders partnered with Farnsworth Group to deliver a 7,500-square-foot expansion to the east side of the Anheuser-Busch warehouse in Fort Collins, enhancing the facility’s packaging and production capabilities while maintaining continuous operations throughout construction.
The addition was designed to accommodate a new depalletizer system and aluminum bottling line, providing critical infrastructure to support increased production efficiency and throughput. The expansion strengthens the facility’s ability to process and package products while supporting the operational demands of a high-volume manufacturing environment.
A key challenge of the project was constructing the addition adjacent to an active warehouse and production facility. Throughout construction, the existing Stark building remained fully operational, requiring careful planning, coordination, and execution to avoid disruptions to daily activities.
Specialized air-sealed dock door systems were incorporated into the project to support the facility’s material-handling processes. These systems allow bottle delivery trucks to create a secure seal with the building, enabling pallets to be efficiently unloaded and transferred directly into the facility through conveyor systems while maintaining environmental control and operational efficiency.
Close collaboration among the project team, facility personnel, and trade partners ensured that construction activities were carefully coordinated with ongoing operations. This approach minimized impacts to production while maintaining safety and schedule performance throughout the project.
The result is a seamless facility expansion that increases packaging capacity, improves operational efficiency, and supports the continued growth of one of the region’s most significant manufacturing operations.
