Transforming a historic landmark into a one-of-a-kind destination for craftsmanship, hospitality, and community....
Read More →The Streets at SouthGlenn transformed the aging and underutilized Southglenn Mall into a dynamic mixed-use district that blends retail, residential, office, and public gathering spaces within a walkable outdoor environment. Designed to bring urban-style convenience to a suburban setting, the redevelopment created a vibrant destination for residents, visitors, and businesses alike.
The project replaced the former enclosed mall with an open-air streetscape featuring shaded walkways, plazas, and community-oriented public spaces that encourage activity throughout the day. Throughout redevelopment, existing anchor tenants Sears and Foley’s (Macy’s) remained open and operational, maintaining continuity for shoppers while construction progressed.
The retail component includes 571,000 square feet of commercial space featuring a gourmet natural foods market, movie theater, bookstore, restaurants, sidewalk cafés, and a diverse mix of specialty retailers. These offerings create an active pedestrian environment and a destination-oriented shopping experience.
As a true mixed-use development, The Streets at SouthGlenn also incorporates more than 600,000 square feet of residential space and 150,000 square feet of office space, creating a live-work-play community within a single integrated district. Supporting the development is a six-level parking structure providing 1,800 parking spaces and convenient access to the site’s retail, residential, and office destinations.
The result is a successful urban-inspired redevelopment that revitalized a prominent community asset, stimulated economic activity, and established a new model for mixed-use development in the region.
