Read More →Saunders is proud to serve as the CMGC for The Amble, a landmark residential development currently under construction at the base of the world-renowned Steamboat Springs Ski Resort. As the first new condominium offering at the base area in over 15 years, this project represents a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Steamboat’s residential landscape.
Featuring 42 residences — ranging from 948 square-foot, one-bedroom units to 3,036-square-foot, four-bedroom units — The Amble is designed as a 100% electric, net-zero operating carbon building. Utilizing advanced mechanical systems, it captures and reuses energy to heat domestic water, the pool, and spa, significantly reducing overall energy consumption. Features include triple-pane windows, high-efficiency insulation, induction cooktops, and water vapor fireplaces.
The four-story building sits atop a full below-grade parking structure with 42 heated, secured underground spaces, using a load-bearing metal stud structural system.
The 107,000 GSF building sits on a 1.63-acre site and features 6,500 square feet of shared amenity space including a heated outdoor pool and spa, fitness center, club lounge, ski lockers, and landscaped outdoor areas.
Situated adjacent to the Steamboat Grand and across from the Gondola Transit Center, the tight site footprint requires detailed phasing and coordination to maintain public safety and allow for the continued resort operations.
