Selected as the district’s CM/GC partner, Saunders transformed the obsolete pool building into a flexible educational facility that supports hands-on instruction and technical training. The project included a complete replacement of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, construction of two new classrooms and two office spaces, and renovation of the building’s restrooms.
The former competition pool area was repurposed into adaptable learning spaces equipped to support programs in skilled trades and technical sciences, business and marketing, agriculture and natural resources, health sciences, criminal justice and public safety, hospitality, human services, and education. Exterior improvements included new windows, a new roof, and the addition of two pedestrian walkways that enhance access to the facility.
Construction was completed on an active campus with ongoing operations at Sheridan High School, nearby district bus storage facilities, the Sheridan Library, and the Sheridan Recreation Center. Careful planning and coordination allowed the project team to safely deliver the work while minimizing disruptions to students, staff, and the surrounding community.
