Cherry Creek School District Innovation Projects

Modernizing learning environments across multiple campuses on an accelerated summer schedule.

Saunders completed renovation projects at 13 Cherry Creek School District campuses over two consecutive summers, delivering upgrades that support innovative teaching methods and enhanced student learning experiences.

While the scope varied by school, improvements generally included new carpet, flooring, paint, interior finishes, and technology upgrades designed to modernize classrooms and common areas. The work was carefully planned to maximize improvements while minimizing impacts to school operations.

The program was delivered in two phases. Phase one included innovation-focused upgrades at three schools during the first summer, while phase two expanded the effort to 10 additional campuses the following summer. Managing multiple active projects simultaneously required detailed coordination, with dedicated field teams assigned to each school to ensure all work was completed within the limited summer construction windows and ready for students and staff at the start of each academic year.
