Saunders is currently completing a renovation of the IST building and constructing a new aquatics center for Overland High School.
The 2024 Bond for Cherry Creek School District (CCSD) funded major and minor upgrades and extensive deferred maintenance to the original school building, construction of a new natatorium with an 8-lane competition pool and diving board, and a major renovation of the Institute of Science & Technology (IST) to expand in-demand career pathways in health sciences, culinary, and forensic science. The new 35,000-square-foot aquatics center will include:
- Steel-framed construction
- 25-yard competition pool
- Diving well
- Spectator seating for 300+
- Two new classrooms
- Team room
- Locker rooms
- Pool mechanical and equipment rooms
