Kenzi’s Causes Becomes Saunders’ Newest Building Confidence in Kids Partner

(Englewood, Colo.) — January 29, 2024 — Saunders Construction, Inc. announces Kenzi’s Causes as its 2024-2025 Building Confidence in Kids (BCiK) program partner. This two-year partnership allow Saunders’ employees to support the non-profit’s mission to support underprivileged children and their families in Colorado. Volunteer opportunities include supporting their toys, school supplies, food and clothing drives, and volunteering at various events with families in the Kenzi’s Kidz program.

Saunders’ BCiK selection committee read numerous proposals submitted by local charities dedicated to children, family and/or education. After thorough proposal reviews and interviews, the BCiK committee believe Saunders and Kenzi’s Causes shared similar values and are excited to work to strengthen the lives of low-income families in Colorado.

“We are so excited to partner with Saunders’ BCIK for the next two years and have their support as we grow our impact across the state. Volunteers are a vital part of our organization and knowing we have so many new volunteers is a blessing,” said Kenzi’s Causes founder Jessica Bachus.

The BCiK program, celebrating its 15^th anniversary in 2024, was designed to involve employees from all levels of the company and create an outlet for volunteerism and community impact. The two-year partnerships have allowed Saunders employees to make tangible impacts while building strong relationships with our local nonprofit partners.

BCiK is an employee-led community initiative managed by 14 employees. The committee will host various volunteer events throughout the year, including the annual Clay Shoot Fundraiser, to help Kenzi’s Causes reach their fundraising goals. Sometimes the most unfortunate circumstances can transform into unexpected beauty. Kenzi’s Causes is a testament to that. Kenzi’s Causes was founded by Jessica Bachus after her daughter, Kenzi was stillborn at 24 weeks. Overcome with grief, Jessica felt compelled to channel her emotions into something that would honor Kenzi’s memory.
