The Colorado School of Mines (CSM) Ben H. Parker Student Center was a project to renovate and re-roof 58,000 square feet of the building, which was 2/3 of the original space.
The project was broken down into two phases in order to keep the building open 24/7 to its students, faculty and staff. Phase 1 included a renovation of two floors, that became a new kitchen and dinning room, study rooms and a bookstore. Phase 2 included the renovation of an existing library and dining area. This space was developed into numerous university offices for the International Student Services, Student Activities Department and Graduate Studies.
This project team did an excellent job fostering the relationship with the CSM capital planning group, facilities management group and building management group.
