Saunders is currently completing the 93,700 square-foot tilt-up core & shell building located within the Science and Technology Park on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Anschutz). Bioscience 5 is the third building Saunders was contracted to complete as a result of a collaborative development effort between CU Anschutz and the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority.
This new flexible manufacturing space will feature office suites, research bays, clean rooms and wet labs to accommodate cell and gene therapy, chemistry, biology, GMP and medical device tenants. The building is planned as a high architecture tilt wall structure with high bay ceilings for flexible tenant use. Construction is taking place with no floor slab poured to keep the floor easily accessible for future utilities to specialized lab equipment to be ran as tenants begin to occupy the building.
