The Hinkley High School remodel and addition incorporated eight phases over a 24-month period. The project encompassed 293,500 sq. ft. This extensively phased project was accomplished while 1600 students and staff were in attendance and without incident.
Additions to the facility included commons areas and two new buildings. The building additions created four separate learning communities, a “small schools” educational concept that supports student success.
Remodeled space increased school capacity to 1,800 students and provided additional classrooms and technology labs for core academic, life skills and art curriculums. Additional remodel work included the existing kitchen with new serving kitchens, media center, lobby, classrooms, restrooms, modernization of MEP systems and site improvements.
