The the Good Samaritan Comprehensive Cancer Center is a new four-story state-of-the-art medical facility located at the Good Samaritan Medical Center Campus.
To provide the latest in medical care for cancer patients, the facility includes two linear accelerator vaults, a lead-lined PET-CT room, a brachytherapy treatment vault, physics labs, patient exam rooms, infusion bay and clinical offices.
To make the project a reality, the preconstruction team worked closely with the architect and multiple tenants during the design phase. Our services included an in-depth value engineering and analysis exercise as well as extensive constructability reviews with the 3D model.
Additionally, in order to serve patients already scheduled for treatment, the project required an aggressive fast-track schedule. The project team worked 7 days a week in order to successfully obtain the certificate of occupancy one day early, allowing the owner to move in and be ready for patients on their scheduled day.
